If you use the online order form we will invoice you by email, payment can then be made at your discretion.
NOTE: Magazines subscriptions will not be fully processed until payment is received.

We can accept payment by cheque or bank transfer.

Cheques should be made payable to 'ESS UK Ltd.', please ensure your order reference is written on the back of the cheque and sent to European Subscription Service UK Ltd, The Hollies, Chester Road, Whitchurch, SY13 1LZ. United Kingdom.

Please ensure you use your order reference as the payment reference when making the payment and inform us that payment has been made via email. Failure to do this could a delay your subscription.

You can pay for your order immediately by using our secure online payment services, we accept the following cards: Visa Credit, Visa Debit, American Express, JCB, Master Card, Maestro Card.

If you have a question about paying by debit or credit card, you can email us for further information. You can by phone during office hours +44 1948 661 710 or you can fax us your card details to +44 1948 661 719. Some customers choose to email us their payment details, however we normally do not recommend this for security reasons. If you are in any doubt, just send us payment by cheque through the regular mail.

It takes around 3-4 weeks after we receive your order for the delivery of The Economist to start.

Your subscription has only been ordered for the present term. When your subscription is about to expire we will write to you offering you the chance to renew your subscription.

If you wish to renew you can do so by paying for the term of your choice, or should you not wish to renew you can inform us by letter or email that you would like to end your subscription to The Economist at the end of the paid term.

Whenever you contact our customer service department via email or letter please state your 8-digit subscription number from your address label.

You have a 2 to 3 month claim period for missing issues with the publisher.

Please contact us as soon as possible should any issues not arrive as expected so we can contact the publisher and resolve the problem.

If you contact us after this time we will not be able to make a claim on your behalf.

Please send us your new address using the change of address form. We will notify the publisher. You can do this using our online form.

Alternatively you can inform us via telephone on +44 1948 661 710, fax +44 1948 661 719 or email info@subscriptionservice.co.uk.

Please ensure you provide as much information as possible, this should include the publishers reference, our reference or order number the old subscription address and the new subscription address, also let us know when this change should be effective from.
